This auction is for a gorgeous Hermes scarf in pristine condition and beautiful fall colors. L'Atlantide was my first design by Annie Faivre - the one that made me fall in love with her elegance and whimsy - and it remains one of my absolute favorites. Please see the details below: Name: L'ATLANTIDE Artist: Annie Faivre Date of issue: 1995/96, reissued 1997/98. I believe this to be the original issue, based on the (longer) care tag. Size: Appr. 35" x 35" (90 cm x 90 cm) Material: 100% silk Design: A wonderfully detailed, delightful scene of the mythical land of Atlantis, as described by Plato, sunk under the waters of the sea - complete with intricate architecture, ancient statuary, meandering animals, and, in the waves above, sailing ships and playful fish - as rich in imagery as only Annie Faivre can make it! Color: Beautiful warm shades of orange, butterscotch, pumpkin, pale yellow, rust, raspberry, olive green, and cream - a perfect combination for the fall, and a RARE colorway for this wonderful design. Can be worn to emphasize the subdued greens or the exuberant oranges and reds - one of those magic silks so treasured by Hermes lovers that can look like two or three entirely different scarves, depending on how it is tied. Condition: 9.5/10. This scarf is in pristine condition, with no issues to mention. The hand-rolled hems are tight. The care tag is present, and the silk is still crisp and full, with no wrinkles.
