HERMES 100% AUTHENTICNEW WITH TAGS, RETAILED FOR $500.00 IN THE US AND $1000 IN THE UK.COMES IN THE HERMES GIFT-BOXFROM A SMOKE FREE & PET FREE HOUSEHOLD. 36" x 35" in.Unusual carre with no artist attributed to it but created based on the idea of the head of the Hermes silk department- Bali Barret. Issued in 2004, this carre consists of five strips of different scarves machine-sewn with whip stitching, finished with signature Hermes handrolled hem and a bolduc loop attached. This carre presents the combination of "Couvertures et Tenues de Jour," "Tiger Royal," "Brides de Gala," "H Cin??tique," and "Pani la Shar Pawnee" scarves. Dominating colorway is variation of brown. Each "Patchwork" carre quite possibly is unique because Hermes was using actual stripes of scarves to create them. Hence, there were variations among scarves, for which same combo and colorway were used. For example, with "Pani la Shar Pawnee," design which comes as a last strap in this carre, sometimes the edge with the corners were used and sometimes the middle was used. The concept of patchwork was subsequently called ?“Carre en Carre,?” where the different scarves were not sewn together but printed together seamlessly.
